Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT)

Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) — A Qualification from Cambridge English
The Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) is an internationally recognized qualification from Cambridge English. It provides teachers with a strong foundation in the core areas of teaching knowledge essential for working in the English language classroom.
📚 Methodology
TKT is divided into three separate core modules. Participants are prepared for all modules during the course, but may choose to take the exam only for the module(s) that best suit their needs. These modules focus on the principles and practices of English language teaching.
Module 1: Language and Background to Language Learning and Teaching
This module develops participants' understanding of common terms and concepts used in English language teaching. It also explores key factors that influence the learning of English and the range of teaching choices available to address these factors.
Module 2: Lesson Planning and Use of Resources for Language Teaching
This module focuses on what teachers consider when planning lessons or a series of lessons. It also includes planning for assessment. Additionally, it explores the reference materials, resources, and teaching aids available to support effective lesson delivery. There is no requirement to be familiar with any specific textbook.
Module 3: Managing the Teaching and Learning Process
This module assesses knowledge of what happens in the classroom: the language used by teachers and learners, the roles of the teacher, and how to manage and make the most of classroom interactions and events.
